Moat Sixth Form opens
After a year of preparations, The Moat Sixth Form has opened its doors for new pupils and teachers. The Sixth Form College, which specialises in education for pupils with unique learning profiles and Specific learning difficulties; will provide a mainstream educational setting with a specialist teaching focus for pupils sitting through their A-Level and Btec exams.
The Moat Sixth form will have a strong focus on not only academic subjects but a robust work experience programme for all pupils included in their timetable, alongside specialist support such as Occupation Therapy and Speech and Language for those who require it built into the curriculum.
The Moat Sixth Form is the latest in new builds by the Cavendish Education Group and was opened today Monday 7th September by Simon Coles the group managing director and Aatif Hassan the founder and chairman.
"This is a fantastic much needed provision in London being launched by The Moat School. It will enable our pupils with Unique Learning Profiles to be inspired, educated and gain qualifications in this new state of the art setting whilst having exceptional specialist support around them.” Aatif Hassan, Founder and Chair, Cavendish Education
Head of The Moat Sixth Form Steve Proctor has said “I’m extremely proud of the hard work that has gone into opening this new school and I’m extremely excited to provide the educational setting that will allow pupils from all over to succeed for years to come”
